Synaptic, Inc. Team Members Give Back to Community

ST. LOUIS, MO – Synaptic, Inc. team members aim to be valuable parts of the local community by giving back and helping those in need by donating both money and time.

Giving back has always been an important part of the Synaptic, Inc. company culture, and the team takes a number of different opportunities throughout the year to reach out to those less fortunate and give a helping (or comforting) hand. Recent efforts focused on care packages for the homeless. While the city provides a number of services to help them, sometimes having a new pair of gloves or a little treat can go a long way to brighten someone’s day and let them know that citizens of the city care.

“Our most recent philanthropic effort was an idea from our human resources director, Roya,” shared the President of Synaptic, Inc. “She was looking for a way to help the people we see on the street out and about who don’t have the luxury of places to call home. Roya is very involved in our local area and interacts with many different community leaders, so she has her finger on the pulse of what’s needed, both big and small, to make it a little better place to live.”

“Roya presented the idea to the entire team of creating hygiene care packages to give to the homeless,” continued the company President. “Offering them razors, shampoo, soap, and other necessities gives them a way to take care of themselves and help them feel better about themselves. This was a perfect fit for our team’s philanthropic goals because we wanted to do something that was more involved and hands-on than just donating money. We took the time to find out what items would be most appreciated and to purchase and assemble the care packages.”

Roya’s leadership has inspired the entire team to look for ways to increase their involvement in the community. When someone shows what is possible with a little effort, others can see that if they join in, they’re likely to make an even bigger impact.

“Setting goals for giving back to the community is just one type of target that the team at Synaptic, Inc. focuses on,” shared the President. “Still, it’s an important one to our team. They’re grateful for the opportunities they have to thrive and know that not everyone has those same chances.
